Bonemis® L-citrulline (amino acid), vegan, highly pure (without malate), 500 g in a bag, premium quality without additives
Product descriptions The amino acid L-citrulline from plant fermentation ( vegan). 500 g in a stand-up bag made of kraft paper (aluminium-free!) with a resealable snap closure. Laboratory tested. Controlled and bottled in Germany. Citrulline is involved in various metabolic processes in the human body - especially the urea cycle, in which excess ammonia is excreted. Citrulline is also a precursor to the amino acid arginine. Which is better, L-Citrulline or Citrulline Malate? In addition to the pure form (L-citrulline as in our product), citrulline is very widely used as malate. Citruline malate is cheaper than L-citrulline, but only contains about 2/3 citrulline (malates are the salts and esters of malic acid). Malate is said to have an additional positive effect on fatigue and regeneration after training. However, the study situation is not clear and is based on inadequate results. More and more scientists are attributing the claimed effects to citrulline rather than the malate compound. Just like the malate compound, DL-citrulline involves a synthetic D-enantiomer. In contrast to L-citrulline, D-citrulline is classified as significantly worse in terms of bioavailability (the proteins in the human body are made up almost exclusively of L-amino acids). Tip: The arginine level in the blood is increased more quickly by taking citrulline than by taking arginine directly. However, arginine works faster. If necessary, experts therefore recommend the simultaneous intake of L-arginine and L-citrulline in a ratio of 1:1. Since citrulline intake over a longer period of time can lead to nitrosative stress (triggered by high levels of nitric oxide), simultaneous intake of antioxidants (e.g. vitamin C or E) is recommended. Please weigh carefully or use the dosing aid (1 ml measuring spoon). 1 ml corresponds to approx. 800 mg L-citrulline (7.5 spoons correspond to the maximum daily consumption amount). Note for athletes: On training days it is best to take it approx. 30 to 45 minutes before training. Warnings The stated recommended daily consumption amount must not be exceeded.
