PIC Gauges 509L Silicone Filled Longwall Mining Pressure Gauge w/ 3 Color Zones & Snubber, Forged Brass Case, Brass Internals, 2" Dial, 0-9000 psi/0-600 BAR Range
PIC Gauges 509L Silicone Filled Longwall Mining Pressure Gauge w/ 3 Color Zones & Snubber, Forged Brass Case, Brass Internals, 2" Dial, 0-9000 psi/0-600 BAR Range
The PIC Gauge 509L silicone-filled pressure gauge used for long-wall mining equipment has brass internals for use with non-corrosive media, and a silicone-filled 2" circular dial enclosed in a forged brass case. The silicone-filled dial dampens vibration and reduces wear, increasing accuracy and life span compared to dry pressure gauges. Silicone-filled dials regulate gauge movements in environments where the dial is prone to icing, and have a -30 to +160 degree F operating temperature range. The built-in snubber reduces pulsation and vibrations. The forged-brass case and connection are durable. The gauge has a measuring range of 0/9,000 psi and 0/600 BAR. Red, green, and yellow color zones provide quick reference. The display accuracy is 2/1/2 percent of span over the entire range of the gauge, or American Society for Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Grade A accuracy class. The one-piece forged- brass connection has a standard 3/8" Steck-o mining industry connection, hydraulic quick connect with Buna N O-ring, nylon washer, and M3 restrictor screw. The gauge is suitable for use on cylinders for the roof support shields on long-wall mining equipment and hydraulic systems for the mining industry. Pressure gauges can range from everyday instruments, such as those used to measure the air pressure in a car or bicycle tire, to highly accurate gauges used in mechanical and industrial processing. Most often, pressure gauges measure pressure relative to a reference measurement. Gauge pressure measures the pressure of something relative to ambient air. For example, a tire pressure gauge or a blood pressure gauge measures the air in a tire or blood flowing through veins relative to ambient air. Differential pressure is the difference in pressure between two points, such as when measuring liquid flow along various points in a pipeline. An absolute pressure gauge measures pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, for example, an atmospheric or barometric pressure gauge. All types of pressure gauges include either a male or a female mount to connect to the vessel where pressure is being measured, and they display results on a dial with varying increments of measure across a given range.Precision Instrument Company, a division of Engineered Specialty Products (ESP), manufactures measuring instruments including pressure gauges, needle valves, thermometers, and plumbing and HVAC gauges. The company, founded in 1983, is headquartered in Kennesaw, GA.
